Responsibilities:
Design and develop new features and enhancements for the Meesho Android app
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
Conduct code reviews and write unit/integration tests
Debug issues, fix bugs, and improve performance and reliability
Contribute to architectural decisions and refactoring efforts
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA, and fellow engineers
Mentor interns and support fellow team members
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech/BCA/BSc) in any discipline
1+ years of hands-on Android development experience
Proven experience in building and maintaining at least two Android apps
Solid knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and the Android SDK
Familiarity with Material Design principles and mobile UX best practices
Experience using Android libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, Architecture Components, etc.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to consume them efficiently
Experience with Git, CI/CD, and version control best practices
Proficient in object-oriented and multi-threaded programming
Hands-on knowledge of advanced Android topics like Custom Views, Accessibility Services, background processing APIs
Familiar with architectural patterns like MVVM and their impact on testability
Strong debugging skills, including using tools like ADB, Proguard, and memory profilers
Good design sense and ability to critique and improve existing designs
